St. Mary’s Home, located in Norfolk, provides around-the-clock care and nurturing to children and young adults from all over Virginia who have profound physical and intellectual disabilities. St. Mary’s staff provides medical, therapeutic, educational and recreational services for as many as 92 children and young adults. 2013 saw the opening of The Albero House, giving St. Mary’s room to care for 12 adults older than 21 who may have been transferred to another facility in the past.
